After a devastating start in charge of the Spanish team, coach Luis Enrique needed a 3-2 defeat at home to England to wear the sandals of humility. In the relationship for the duel against the Croatians and the friendly against Bosnia and Hezergovina, scheduled for November 18, he called for the first time the left-back Jordi Alba of Barcelona.
The player, despite being considered by the great majority of the experts of the country as the best of the position and having more than 60 calls for the selection, had been ignored by the coach, who did not have a good relationship with him at the time he was in charge of Barcelona.
